Goa is flooded with visitors during the months of October to March, which is considered to be the peak season. However, very few people visit goa beaches during the monsoons between June and September in order to avoid any kind of danger. Nevertheless, do you know how magical it can be to experience the real beauty and grandeur of Goa in monsoon? The dancing of trees in response to the music created by the winds, the lush-green carpets covering the fields and mountains and the rushing streams of the joyful rivers together create a scene, which is much beyond eternal grace.
Beauty and Grandeur of Goa in Monsoon
With these things in mind, I chose to visit Goa with friends in the month of August. We knew that during this part of the year, Goa is ideal for those who are looking for a calm and peaceful break from the busy life of the cities. We could hardly find any vendors on the beaches during this part of the year because they migrate to other places in search of better business. It looked everything was set like the amazing showers, lush-green trees dancing in the winds, Western Ghats with a carpet of greenery and of course the canopy of clouds over the head.
My One friend wanted to swim in the sea but I forced him to abandon the idea as the waves were very rough and dangerous. We had booked a hotel as we were there for around two to three days enjoying the beauty of the sea, while relaxing in the lounge was also simply amazing. Since it was the offseason, the hotel offered a lot of discounts and other offers, which were hard to resist.
During the afternoon, it was drizzling and my friends had fallen asleep after having some delicious dishes for lunch. I chose to spend some alone time and decided to walk along the beaches in the rain. The sound of the violent and roaring seas along with drops of water rolling down my cheeks and the wet sand beneath my feet took me to a different world of ecstasy. We also visited a number of waterfalls located in the southern portion of the city as we knew that they were functional only during the rainy season.
